Job summary

Strobel Energy Group is seeking a reliable laborer to assist with concrete form setting, mixing, and site preparation in Billings, MT. You will contribute to building and dismantling forms, installing rebar, and ensuring form alignment under supervision.

Applicants should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather, with basic math skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior construction experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of concrete or skilled labor experience preferred; construction experience required.
• Experience with concrete form setting and construction is required.
• Proficiency with industry hand and power tools, including saws.
• Physical ability for manual labor in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and positioning concrete forms and dismantling forms after use.
• Dig ditches and level earth to grade specifications using hand tools.
• Grade dirt and concrete efficiently and accurately.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures.
• Mix concrete and mortar; align and square forms for installation.
• Construct forms and raise them to the required elevation.
• Install and tie rebar and wire mesh.

Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantles forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, bolts or form hardware.
• Dig ditches and levels earth to grade specifications, using pick, shovels and rakes.
• Grade dirt and concrete efficiently and accurately.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures.
• Mix concrete and mortar.
• Assist to align, straighten, plumb and square forms for installation.
• C onstruct forms, then assist in raising them to the required elevation.
• Install and tie rebar and wire mesh.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree.
• 1 + years of concrete or skilled labor experience preferred.
• Experience with concrete form setting or construction is required.
• Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials.
• Proficiency with industry hand and power tools, including saws.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor.
• Basic math skills.
• Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements.
• Functions essential to this position include but are not limited to standing, sitting, stooping, bending, walking and lifting heavy objects (50 pounds) during the workday.
