Job summary

Strobel-Energy-Group-LLC seeks a concrete form setter to install and align formwork foundations for early-stage construction. You will set up basic forms, framing, scaffolding, and mold work to create precise foundations.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, measuring and leveling forms, pouring and finishing concrete with hand and power tools, and following OSHA safety regulations. Outdoor work and lifting up to 50 pounds are required.

Job description

Responsible for installing the concrete formwork foundations in the early stages of a construction project. You will be responsible for setting up the basic form of the structures, such as framing, scaffolding, or molds to lay concrete.

Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Build and align form systems
• Construct scaffolding and platforms
• Use measuring tools to ensure accuracy
• Finish concrete using hand and power tools
• Follow OSHA safety regulations
• Checking forms for proper construction.
• Setting forms to desired pitch, depth and proper alignment.
• Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float.
• Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointer and straight edge.
• Monitor weather elements for effect on the curing of concrete.
• Produce rough concrete surface using broom.
• Operate power vibrator to consolidate concrete.
• Application of surface treatments.
• Follow instructions and work as a member of a team.
• Use hand and/or power tools
• Use saw to cut expansion joints.
• Understand/Read blueprints and elevations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Experience with concrete form setting or construction is required.
• Proficiency with industry hand and power tools, including saws.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor.
• Basic math skills.
• Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements.
• Functions essential to this position include but are not limited to standing, sitting, stooping, bending, walking and lifting heavy objects (50 pounds) during the course of the work day
