Concrete Laborer

Essential Functions
  • Arrange the concrete forms to shape concrete.
  • Fill roadways, driveways, sidewalks, bridges and parking lots.
  • Smooth out concrete in segments to ensure the concrete poured is level.
  • Finish corners by hand.
  • Level it using special blades, making sure all bubbles and lumps are smoothed over.
  • Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal proficiency level.
  • Follow all safety policies and PPE use.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Preferred one (1) year of verifiable work experience in concrete form work.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are normally Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; however, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel to the jobsites is expected for this position.

Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Some equipment can be extremely heavy and will require a lot of strength to move or manipulate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events.

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, rough and uneven surfaces, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
