Methuen Construction is seeking a Concrete Foreman to provide essential support to the Field Operations department. This position reports to the Manager Title and is not responsible for the oversight of other teammates. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position.

Your Role

• Thorough knowledge of general construction and concrete construction safety standards and practices. Responsible for enforcement of safety standards with own crew and others on the worksite
• Thorough knowledge of the planning, layout, erection, and bracing of formwork for concrete footings, walls, columns, and slabs
• Thorough knowledge of the installation of reinforced steel (including the ability to read rebar shop drawings)
• Thorough knowledge of the placement and finishing of concrete
• Ability to provide accurate layout for line and grade, from established benchmarks
• Competency in working at heights while following appropriate fall protection protocol
• Working knowledge of job cost report and labor production report review and analysis
• Thorough knowledge of corporate quality control program
• Ability to take direction and manage multiple
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Basic computer knowledge

Your Education and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial construction experience
• Current licenses applicable to the trade
• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site
• Prepared to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditions
• Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders
• Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, reach, balance and stoop on a regular basis
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Supervisory Responsibility

• This position is regularly responsible for the supervision of 5-10 people

Position Type

• This is a full-time position, exempt position

Travel

• Travel is limited but may be required, with occasional out of state and overnight travel
