Responsibilities include ensuring correct depth and pitch, maintaining curing conditions, and coordinating with the crew to install fixtures and edge removal where needed. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting safely.

Qualifications

• Experience working with concrete slabs and forms.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools to spread and finish concrete.

Responsibilities

• Place forms to hold concrete at correct depth and pitch.
• Monitor curing conditions affected by heat, wind, and cold.
• Remove edges on joints and install anchor bolts and fixtures in fresh concrete.
• Polish surfaces using smoothing materials and surfacing machines.
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
• Waterproof and damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces.
• Compact materials for even placement.
• Finish concrete surfaces with desired patterns (rough or smooth).
• Signal trucks and operate chutes for pouring concrete.
• Cast and spread concrete to fill voids and ensure consistency.
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces.
• Supervise and train workers in spreading concrete.
