Job summary

Cincinnati Asphalt Co. is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction crew. You will place, finish, and repair concrete on foundations, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and more with hands-on technique and attention to quality.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, ability to work long hours, lift up to 75 lbs, and travel overnight when needed. This is a full-time, on-site position in Ohio with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of concrete finishing experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong knowledge of concrete tools, techniques, and materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set and align concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, pads, and slabs.
• Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds.
• Smooth and finish surfaces using hand tools (trowels, floats, edgers, jointers).
• Apply textures or surface treatments as specified (broom finish, stamped, etc.).
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust finishing techniques accordingly.
• Cure surfaces using appropriate compounds and methods.
• Read and interpret blueprints or drawings as needed.
• Direct the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
• Safely operate power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted.
