Job summary

Cincinnati Asphalt is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join its construction crew. The role involves placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on foundations, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and more.

You will read blueprints, set forms, pour, spread, level, and finish surfaces using hand tools, power trowels, and vibrators to ensure quality and correct thickness and slope. This physically demanding role requires 2+ years of concrete finishing experience, the ability to work long hours including

Qualifications

• 2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Knowledge of concrete tools, techniques, and materials
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area

Responsibilities

• Set and align concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, pads, and slabs
• Pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and screeds
• Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels, floats, edgers, jointers
• Read and interpret blueprints or drawings as needed
• Cure surfaces using appropriate compounds and methods
• Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver
• Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order
