Pavement Partners Cincinnati LLC is hiring a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction crew. The role focuses on placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on foundations, slabs, sidewalks, and curbs across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has hands-on concrete experience, a solid understanding of construction techniques, and a commitment to high-quality finishes. Expect a physically demanding environment with travel when needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong knowledge of concrete tools, techniques, and materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable with lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Willingness to travel regionally when projects are outside the local area.

Responsibilities

• Set and align concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, pads, and slabs.
• Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds.
• Smooth and finish surfaces using hand tools (trowels, floats, edgers, jointers).
• Apply textures or surface treatments as specified (broom finish, stamped, etc.).
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust finishing techniques accordingly.
• Cut control joints and edges for proper expansion and appearance.
• Cure surfaces using appropriate compounds and methods.
• Ensure quality control, proper thickness, slope, and surface integrity.
• Read and interpret blueprints or drawings as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order.
• Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
• Safely operating power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted.
• Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
• Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
