Job summary

The City of Rowlett, Texas, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support water, wastewater, street and drainage services. You will assist in construction and maintenance projects, operate equipment, and ensure safety at work sites in accordance with MUTCD standards.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and several years of related construction and maintenance experience; CDL and lead-worker responsibilities are possible.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from High School or GED.
• Experience operating heavy construction equipment is required.
• Ability to read grade and perform manual labor safely.
• Candidates should be able to work with a crew and follow supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crew Leader in planning and scheduling construction, maintenance and operation activities for water, wastewater, streets and drainage services.
• Perform labor tasks including pavement repair, ditch digging, and line cleaning.
• Operate equipment, backfill, lay sod, and assist with safety and traffic control.
