The City of Rowlett is hiring a maintenance worker to support its water, wastewater, and drainage systems. Under supervision, you will perform semi-skilled and skilled tasks, operate equipment, and participate in the repair and replacement of city infrastructure.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience. This role includes a 4-day work week, a comprehensive benefits package, and TMRS retirement participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in construction, maintenance, or repair of water distribution/sewer systems.

Responsabilités

• Repairs leaks in water/wastewater systems, may work at depths >6' and handle trench safety.
• Inspect water/wastewater stations, assist with pumps, motors, controls, SCADA, tanks and towers.
• Operate valves, flush lines, replace parts, and use cleaners and degreasers.
• Assist with manholes, taps, trenches, and heavy equipment as needed.
• Maintain attendance and foster professional working relationships.
