Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to join our team. You will sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders while reporting results the same day. Training is provided and we sponsor essential certifications as you progress.

The role involves outdoor work, travel to sites, and collaboration with superintendents to ensure accurate results and safety compliance on every project.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable; willingness to learn and follow procedures.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications are a plus and sponsorable by the company.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the job site.
