Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to be on the front line of concrete testing. You will sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, temperature tests, and prepare cylinder sets, while documenting results the same day.

No experience required; we train and sponsor certifications. You will verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge, maintain equipment, and communicate results to superintendents on site.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable and detail-focused with a willingness to learn.
• Certifications such as ACI Field Grade I or nuclear gauge are a plus and sponsored by us.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM standards; run slump, air, temperature tests and prepare cylinder sets.
• Perform field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
