Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders while documenting results the same day. You will verify soil compaction with a nuclear gauge, and maintain gear and records in the field.

No prior experience required; we train, sponsor ACI/NICET certifications as you progress, and pay hourly with overtime for long runs. Work spans multiple sites with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-site field testing and reporting.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites and work outdoors.
• Ability to learn ASTM test methods and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete (slump, air, temperature, cylinders).
• Verify soil compaction and document results the same day.
• Prepare clear daily field reports linked to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge calibration, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on-site.
