Job summary

Construction Material Testing is hiring Field Technicians to perform on-site sampling and testing of concrete and soil density at various sites. You will learn to run slump, air, and temperature tests, operate a nuclear gauge, and document results on the same day.

No prior experience required—the company provides training and pays for certifications as you progress, with opportunities to advance into senior roles or project oversight.

Qualifications

• No experience required for entry level; training provided and certifications paid for.
• Valid driver's license required and clean driving record.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather and outdoor conditions.
• Structured field training with a senior tech; certifications sponsored by the company.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
