Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a qualified Field Engineer for the Lake Charles LNG project in Louisiana. You will provide project field engineering specialization with work planning, packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination to ensure safe, complete, and compliant field activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline is required.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
• Knowledge of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and Bechtel Core Processes.
• Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
• Knowledge of Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications per BSAP standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
• Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others in the operational area.
• Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
