Job summary

Sundt Enterprise in Charlotte, NC seeks an Estimator I/II to support preconstruction efforts for large or multiple projects. You will perform quantity takeoffs, assist in pricing logistics, and help create bid documents under senior supervision.

Ideal candidates have a four-year engineering degree (or equivalent) and 1–5 years of related experience; LEED accreditation is a plus and Microsoft Office proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Estimator I - 1–3 years of experience.
• Estimator II - 2–5 years of experience.
• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent training/experience.
• LEED accreditation preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs accurately.
• Assist in pricing project logistics and temporary elements.
• Develop abstracts and evaluate basic trade bids.
• Understand indirect costs (insurance, taxes, fees).
• Prepare pricing for basic elements and estimating deliverables.
• Draft subcontracts and purchase orders for review.
• Provide document control for plans, addenda, and lists.
• Solicit pricing for bids in hard bid environment.
• Support conceptual estimating and budget uploads with senior staff.
• Develop purchasing plans with oversight.
