Aperture Group is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee construction projects from pre-construction through completion at our Virginia operations. The role emphasizes budgets, schedules, client relations, safety, and overall performance, with a strong focus on concrete execution.

The ideal candidate brings significant CIP and self-perform concrete experience, sharp financial acumen, and the leadership drive to grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• Self-perform concrete construction experience required.
• Understanding of concrete placement, finishing, and field operations.
• Experience with full-cycle concrete construction.
• Ability to identify and address concrete quality issues, including honeycombing/air pockets.
• Hands-on understanding of the concrete construction process, not just managing subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from pre-construction through completion
• Develop and manage detailed project budgets, cost codes, and financials
• Track costs, cash flow, forecasting, and profitability
• Manage project schedules and performance
• Work closely with Superintendents, field leadership, and accounting teams
• Serve as a primary client contact
• Oversee project teams and direct reports
• Manage project documentation, safety, and risk
• Identify and proactively resolve project issues
• Utilize Excel and company-specific project management/financial systems
