Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is accepting applications for a site preparation role. This full-time position involves preparing sites for daily work, maintaining housekeeping, and supporting daily activities with concrete-related tasks.

Responsibilities include operating heavy tools, aligning components, finishing concrete, and ensuring safety compliance on all projects. The candidate should be capable of following plans and instructions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous experience in the field.
• Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement.
• Position, join, align and seal structural components such as concrete walls and pipes.
• Shovel cement and other materials into portable mixers and mix, pour, and spread concrete.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment and movement of machinery and materials.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using floats, trowels, screeds, or finishing tools.
• Tend to machines that pump concrete, grout, and sand.
• Lubricate, clean and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.
• Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform janitorial activities.
