Job summary

Ceco Concrete Construction in Syracuse, NY is seeking an entry-level Laborer I to support concrete construction operations. You will assist skilled trades, prepare and clean job sites, and handle materials on foundations, slabs, walls, and curbs.

This role requires physical work, ability to lift up to 50 lbs (90 with help), use hand tools, and some formwork experience preferred. The position is full-time, unionized, with comprehensive benefits and a 30-hour OSHA card desired.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb; up to 90 lb with assistance.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as needed.
• Frequent use of hand tools and power tools.
• Preference for 12+ months of formwork/concrete labor experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction labor including site cleanup and material handling.
• Operate power tools, saws, hammers, nails, and bolts on site.
• Maintain balance and alertness during physically demanding tasks.
• Assist in pouring vertical concrete as required.
• Install reshores per project instructions.
• Work in varied weather, potentially extreme cold/heat, noise and dust.
