Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of concrete mixes and ability to read production drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Computer knowledge including Microsoft and batch house software.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to perform moderately complex mathematical equations.

Responsibilities

• Mix concrete for all production areas.
• Oil, clean and prepare mixer according to work instructions and SOP.
• Inspect and adjust all working parts in batch plant.
• Monitor raw materials to ensure proper utilization and inventory levels.
• Participate in ongoing minor and preventative maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.
• Inventory and maintain accurate records of all parts and provide notification when orders are needed.
• Monitor concrete temperature in varying weather and adjust mixes accordingly.
• Confer with supervisory personnel to resolve problems and improve performance.
• Ensure established performance indicators are met.
• Adhere to OSHA rules and regulations.
