Conciege/Security at Modena Reserve Bethesda

We are looking for:

  • 3pm-11pm Every other weekend
  • 4pm-8pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • 10am - 6pm Every other weekend

Concierge Overview & Responsibilities

The Concierge creates a memorable first impression by greeting and assisting visitors, families, and residents; answering phones; providing information; handling mail; typing, filing, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Development.

The essential duties include:

  • Greeting visitors and providing non-confidential information
  • Answering phones promptly with appropriate greetings
  • Sorting and distributing mail
  • Typing and filing correspondence
  • Adhering to resident rights and personnel policies
  • Using office equipment effectively
  • Expressing concern and compassion for residents and families
  • Escorting visitors if necessary
  • Maintaining referral and mailing lists
  • Assisting with data entry and move-in processes
  • Performing general clerical work
  • Staying informed on aging, assisted living, and dementia care through ongoing education
  • Supporting event setup and teardown
  • Promoting a professional image through attire and actions
  • Maintaining a safe environment following safety standards
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or receptionist experience preferred
  • Proficiency with basic office equipment and computers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Genuine compassion for older adults and their families
  • Team-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
  • Must receive the annual flu vaccine unless exempted
