Job summary

Concord Hospitality Enterprises is seeking a front-line Concierge to enhance guest experiences at our Maryland property. You will provide restaurant and entertainment guidance, directions, and top-tier service to ensure memorable visits.

Responsibilities include handling guest requests, coordinating with hotel departments, and maintaining professional appearance. Requires the ability to obtain Maryland Serve Safe certification and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate exceptional guest service and professional communication.
• Ability to respond to guest requests with accuracy and courtesy.
• Willingness to obtain Maryland Serve Safe certificate if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services (transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by making arrangements or identifying providers.
• Respond to guests with unique needs and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Gather, summarize, and provide information about the property and surrounding area amenities and events.
• Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
• Contact appropriate departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
• Review shift logs and document pertinent information in logbooks.
• Monitor club lounge for seating, service, safety, and guest well-being.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies; maintain uniform appearance and confidentiality of information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate needs; assist guests with disabilities; express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly; prepare and review documents; answer phones with proper etiquette.
• Pay rate of $15.50-$16.00 per hour.

The hotel concierge is an important role at any full-service hotel in providing the guest with the total "Guest Experience." You are the go‑to person the guest will come to for ideas on how to make their visit the most it can be... and you – armed with the knowledge of the area's best expected attractions – makes their stay memorable for years to come.

The Role

• Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers.
• Respond to special requests from guests with unique needs and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Gather, summarize, and provide information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities.
• Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
• Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bell person, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem.
• Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
• Monitor club lounge for seating availability, service, safety, and well‑being of guests.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Must be able to obtain or have a Maryland Serve Safe certificate.
