Shaner Hotels in Buffalo, NY, is hiring for a front-of-house role at the Buffalo Marriott LECOM Harborcenter. This in-person position is available as full-time or part-time, with pay of $16 per hour and employee benefits. Ideal candidates have at least one year of customer service experience; hotel experience is preferred.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Responsibilities include greeting guests, seating assistance, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining cleanliness of the M Club Lounge

Description:

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Greet and acknowledge all arriving and departing guests. Escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‑alcoholic selections available in the M Club (Concierge) Lounge and the Restaurant outlet.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
• Set up M Club (Concierge) Lounge with necessary supplies; maintain cleanliness at all times. Report shortages to Supervisor or Kitchen for replenishment.
• Inspect the M Club (Concierge) Lounge environment and entrance area, ensuring that all standards are met; rectify any deficiencies; maintain cleanliness at all times.
• Inspect tables and buffet, ensuring that all set ups meet the department standards. Check throughout meal period.

Courteously greet and welcome guests to the M Club Lounge, ensuring hotel's standards of service. Engage with the customers and create personal connections by assisting with concierge needs such as directions, local recommendations, etc. Facilitate guest use of the M Club's technology offerings and concierge amenities. Assist in preparing the M Club for breakfast buffet service, all day snack and evening offerings appropriate for the scheduled shift. Maintain the cleanliness of the room at all times. Monitor and anticipate the guests' needs and all phases of the operation; including assisting guests with the coffee machine or taking alcoholic drink orders.
