Job summary

Parker Palm Springs is seeking a friendly Concierge to provide guests with outstanding service, make reservations, and coordinate travel, dining and activities in Palm Springs.

In this full-time role, you will engage guests before arrival, liaise with hotel departments, and use reservation tools while maintaining discretion and a polished guest experience.

Previous luxury hospitality experience is preferred, with a passion for local knowledge of the Coachella Valley.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest reservations and travel arrangements.
• Coordinate car service, airline confirmations, taxis and buses.
• Arrange babysitters and rental cars, including delivery.
• Recommend and reserve local restaurants and activities.
• Arrange for floral orders and other guest requests.
• Provide maps, directions and concierge services.
• Contact guests before arrival to assist with plans.
• Support receptionists and porters; liaise with in-house services.

JOB SCOPE:

Responsible for providing guests with services and reservations as well as fulfilling requests in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Reservations
• Makes and confirms travel arrangements for guests including car service, airline confirmations, taxis, buses etc.
• Arranges for babysitters for guests
• Makes arrangements for rental cars as well as delivery to Parker Palm Springs
• Keeps informed on local restaurants in order to make recommendations as well as reservations
• Makes arrangements for outside activities such as golf, horseback riding, hiking etc.
• Makes arrangements for floral orders
• Services
• Providescopying and fax services
• Providesmaps and directions as needed
• Calls all guests in order to assist them with plans before arrival
• Lends support to receptionists and porters
• Acts as liaison between guest and in-house services

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Keen knowledge of the Coachella Valley and surrounding area in such areas of events, dining, sport activities, shopping and transportation .
• Outgoing personality
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of the local area and attractions.
• Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in relevant technology, including reservation systems and communication tools.

Pay rate for this position is $21 an hour.
