Job summary

Lockwood Management is seeking a Part Time Concierge in Ann Arbor, MI to greet residents, answer phones, and support administrative duties within a senior living community. The role focuses on hospitality, clear communication, and courteous service to residents, families, and staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid ID or driver’s license, and at least one year of concierge or receptionist experience in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs without assistance.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a receptionist or concierge in a senior living community.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with residents, employees and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones using a professional and courteous voice following the designated script.
  • Create and maintain a customer centered service culture by demonstrating proactive hospitality with prospects, residents, family members and fellow community associates.
  • Greet, monitor and screen all visitors, ensure all people with which you have contact are welcomed warmly to the community.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance keeping the front entrance, lobby and reception areas clean and organized.
  • Facilitate prospect community tours as required.
  • Assist with all clerical and administrative duties as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Assist new residents with move-in welcoming and orientation.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and assist with posting/sending outgoing mail.
  • Accept residents’ special requests and communicates to appropriate department.
  • Ensure that coffee and/or refreshments are fresh, readily available and offered to guests.
  • Receive resident payments and consistently issue receipts per community policies and procedures.
  • Post charges to resident ledgers as required
  • Maintain the community’s lost and found.
  • Follow established safety standards, assist with evacuation of residents in case of an emergency.
  • Sell resident and associate meal tickets, receiving payments per community policies and procedures.
  • Assist with activities and special events when requested.
  • Display a positive and professional image according to the Lockwood principles and core values.
  • Ensure administrative supplies have been replenished in work areas and order supplies as necessary.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor and request repairs as necessary.
  • Encourage teamwork through open communication with co-workers and other departments.
  • Maintain clear lines of communication.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Position Description
Primary Function:

The Concierge handles a variety of customer service and administrative duties, greets visitors, answers phones and is often the customers’ first contact with the community. The Concierge follows all policies and procedures established by the Executive Director and Lockwood Management.

Typical Duties:
