Job summary

Metra Park is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support the Food and Beverage Manager in concession operations during public gatherings, sporting events, and concerts. You will supervise, train, and schedule part‑time staff, prepare and serve food and beverages, and manage inventory and cash reconciliation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with approved caterers, maintaining sanitary food handling, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• One (1) year experience in food service, catering, concession operations, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, schedules, and trains part-time concession staff.
• Adjusts the staffing levels during events based on attendance and sales volume.
• Prepares and serves concession food and beverage items.
• Orders, receives, stores, and accounts for concession inventory.
• Transports concession supplies between buildings and event locations as needed.
• Ensures compliance with sanitary food handling practices and general cleanliness of concession areas.
