Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Concessions Stand Lead at The Bushnell in Hartford. This part-time, guest-facing role oversees day-of-event operations for a concession stand, supervises staff, maintains inventory, and ensures safety and quality in a fast-paced arena environment.

The position pays $18.00–$20.00 per hour and is eligible for tips. Benefits include 401(k) savings and matching; the role requires mobility to stand and walk during events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months’ experience in the food service, concessions preferred.
• Must be able to operate POS.
• Possess a valid alcohol and food service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
• Ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS transactions and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Assign positions, guide staff performance, and maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure the stand is fully stocked, clean, and event-ready.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, temperature, and presentation.
• Address guest concerns and elevate issues to management when needed.
• Track product usage, request restocks, and prevent shortages.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
• Report equipment issues and ensure proper functionality.
• Communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
