Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a Concessions Prep Cook at our Greensboro venue. The role involves preparing hot and cold foods, following recipes, and delivering high-quality dishes for events. You will work as part of a fast-paced team, maintaining standards and safety, with shifts that support event schedules.

Experience as a cook or prep cook is preferred. Candidates should be able to operate standard kitchen equipment and obtain ServSafe within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience preferred.
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment (broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, chef knife).
• Strong communication in a business-like, respectful manner.
• Team-oriented in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state/federal regulations.
• ServSafe required to obtain within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food products for guests.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as a team to prepare, serve, and deliver products.
• Report any kitchen equipment maintenance.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate consumption.
• Demonstrate the company standard for attendance.
