Job summary

The National Park Service is seeking a Concessions Management Specialist to provide analytical and operational support for the Commercial Services Program. The role involves interpreting laws, advising commercial service providers on regulatory requirements, and ensuring ethical conduct in contracting activities.

You will collect and analyze program data, track franchise fees and rent payments, support financial oversight, and assist in negotiations and asset management.

Qualifications

• Submission of unofficial transcripts is acceptable, but official transcripts may be required prior to start.
• Foreign education may require evaluation to be deemed equivalent to U.S. credentials.

Responsibilities

• Apply laws, regulations, and policies governing commercial services operations and advise providers on regulatory requirements.
• Support planning and development of commercial services documents, including leases and operating plans, at the GS-7/GS-9 level.
• Monitor and evaluate commercial operations, conduct site visits, and verify compliance with contract terms.
• Collect, track, and analyze program data and manage data in systems like FMSS, PMIS, and SharePoint.
• Serve as a liaison between commercial service providers, park staff, and the public; assist in negotiations and issue resolution.
• Assist with asset management, facility review, and maintenance planning; support financial oversight and cost recovery analyses.
