Job summary

Keeneland Association, Inc. is seeking a Concessions Food Handler in Lexington, KY. You will safely prepare, handle, and serve food and beverages in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, supporting front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

The role emphasizes food safety, sanitation, teamwork, and flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays and events, with required licensing training on hire.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift/push up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food using kitchen equipment.
• Handle food in accordance with Fayette County and state health and safety guidelines.
• Follow proper food storage, sanitation, and preparation procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of food preparation and service areas, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Assist with restocking supplies, ingredients, and condiments as needed.
• Work closely with cashiers and other team members to ensure prompt and accurate order fulfillment.
• Dispose of waste and food safely, adhering to Keeneland’s sustainability and hygiene practices.
• Support concession stand opening, operating, and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory.
• Perform job duties assigned by supervisor.
• Comply with Keeneland’s safety, uniform and grooming standards.

Position Summary:

As Concessions Food Handler at Keeneland Hospitality, you are responsible for safely preparing, handling, and serving food and beverage items in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Licensing Requirements:

• A valid Fayette County Food Handler’s License is required for all food and beverage staff. Must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift.
• A Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers. This license will be provided to you on behalf of Keeneland upon hire.
