Job summary

Durango Casino & Resort seeks an experienced cook to support Executive and Room Chefs, ensuring the kitchen and equipment are in good working order and maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.

The role involves assisting with cooking across stations—meats, fish, eggs, vegetables—while keeping the area clean and stocked. Ability to obtain work cards and attention to detail are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one to two years Cook experience in a high volume restaurant preferred.
• Must be able to obtain all necessary work cards, demonstrate sound judgment and great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• The cook ensures that the kitchen and equipment are in good working order, maintains cleanliness, safety and sanitation standards.
• Supports Chef's in cooking, frying, sautéing, carving, broiling, grilling, steaming all meats, fish, eggs, vegetables, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of area as well as keeping cold items stocked.
• Ensure kitchen area and equipment are in good working order.
