PROFESSIONAL DEV CNTR in OFALLON, Missouri is seeking a Computer Technician (Level I) to support Fort Zumwalt R-2 School District. The role focuses on hardware repair, setup of new equipment, network fault diagnosis, and installation of AV wiring and peripherals.

The Technician works across district buildings, balancing repair tasks with classroom technology deployments, and requires strong problem-solving, communication skills, and basic Active Directory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in dusty and hot environments
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Basic understanding of computer hardware/software troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair computers and peripherals.
• Diagnose and repair network-wiring problems including copper, fiber, network equipment, and related devices.
• Install and maintain classroom presentation technologies and wiring (projectors, document cameras, smartboards).
• Install and configure computers and peripherals in stand-alone and networked environments.
• Install drivers, patches, and system software; configure software for learning environments.
• Basic Active Directory skills: change passwords, create user accounts, maintain shared storage, manage network printers.
• Support Internet connectivity via browser and email configurations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance of all systems.
• Coordinate hardware and software needs with Network Administrator and other tech staff.
