Entry-level Technician I works under supervision; Technician II advances to lead the Help Desk and handles more complex desktop systems, while upholding CIP policies and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of information technology and fundamentals of personal computers.
• Understanding of hardware, software and peripheral installation.
• Familiar with Windows operating systems and network hardware basics.
• Basic math, English language skills, and safety practices.
• Customer service orientation and problem-solving attitude.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain hardware and software in networked and standalone environments.
• Troubleshoot computer problems including OS, printing, and applications; diagnose issues.
• Provide technical information and training to end-users; respond to questions in person or by phone.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports related to activities.
• Adhere to CIP policies for secure, compliant systems.
• Lead Help Desk operations for Computer Support Technician II as needed.
