Job summary

BRYANT is seeking skilled CNC machinists to monitor and control movements of CNC machines, with strong knowledge of Haas machines. You will read blueprints, edit G-code, and help develop tooling and process documentation. Training others and maintaining quality throughout production is essential.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in CNC machining and experience in both job shop and high-volume production settings. Lean training is a plus, and a focus on safety and process improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years machining experience in CNC environments.
• Ability to read and edit G-code programs.
• Experience with Haas CNC machines preferred.
• Reading blueprints and translating into parts is required.
• Experience in both job shop and production environments is desired.
• Lean training is a plus.

JOB DUTIES

• Monitor, maintain and control the movements of CNC Machines
• Strong knowledge of Haas Machines
• Recommend and assist in developing tooling and process documentation
• Train new hires/Crosstrain existing employees
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Read, interpret and convert blueprints into end products using CNC
• programming codes
• Proper handling of measurement tools
• Maintain all equipment in good operating condition
• Safely perform all responsibilities with adherence to company policy
• Read detailed engineering documents such as prints, routing and process
• instructions
• Maintain safe and clean work area
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three years machining experience or equivalent
• Functional experience in a department (CNC machining/Steel fabrication)
• Thorough understanding of program format
• Ability to read and edit programs in G-code
• Comprehensive knowledge of CNC machines and the programming languages used to access and control them
• Strong computer skills preferred – CAD/CAM software or Conversation software
• Lean training preferred
• Programming experience
• Experience in both Job shop (low volume/ high mix) and Production (high volume /
• low mix) business models
