Job summary

BRYANT is hiring experienced CNC machinists to safely operate Mazatrol controlled lathes and mills, read technical drawings, and set up programs for production. The role requires accurate measurement, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for long shifts while lifting up to 40 pounds.

Candidates should be proficient in reading drawings, communicating effectively, and using measuring devices, with a willingness to maintain quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Mazatrol programming and reading engineering drawings.
• Able to measure parts and ensure quality standards.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform all responsibilities with adherence to company policy.
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read engineering documents such as prints, routing, and process instructions.
• Operate CNC lathes, mills, set-up and program.
• Handle measurement tools properly.
• Perform side operations while CNC runs (e.g. deburring).
• Maintain equipment in good working order.
• Report discrepancies in job routes timing as identified.
• Fill out scrap reports.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Must have good attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

JOB DUTIES:

• Safely perform all responsibilities with adherence to company policy
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Read engineering documents such as prints, routing, and process instructions
• Demonstrate ability to operate CNC lathes, mills, set-up and program
• Proper handling of measurement tools
• Perform side operations as required while CNC is running (e.g. deburring)
• Maintain all equipment in good operating condition
• Report discrepancies in job route times as soon as they are identified
• Fill out scrap report
• Maintain safe and clean work area
• Must have good attendance
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of Mazatrol programming
• Ability to read drawings and effectively communicate
• Ability to accurately use measuring devices, operate equipment and make adjustments as needed
• Attention to detail with a capacity to evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
• Computer knowledge
• Walk and stand for entire shift
• Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
