Job summary

Alamo Colleges District is seeking a part-time Computer Lab Assistant in San Antonio, TX. The role provides administrative, technical and production support, including lab services and data handling for students and staff.

Hours per week are 19, with a typical schedule during business hours; evenings/weekends possible. Requires familiarity with video equipment and software listed, and a readiness to troubleshoot on-set issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Exposure to video production workflows and field/studio setups.
• Knowledge of common video software: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Avid Pro Tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support for computer lab and production activities.
• Assist with camera setup, lighting, audio capture and on-set troubleshooting.
• Support faculty, staff and students in a fast-paced academic environment.
• Operate and maintain production equipment inventory and check-out procedures.

Job Summary and Description

Provides standard administrative, technical, production services or provides information that supports others, and/or organizes data and information that is used and analyzed by others.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent (GED).

Preferred Education and Experience:

• One to three months of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge ofprofessional video production equipment including Sony, Black Magic, andRED camera systems; wireless microphones, field recorders, and mixers;lighting, lenses, tripods, gimbals, monitors, and related studio/fieldproduction accessories.
• Comfortable in all or most production workflows,including camera setup, audio capture, lighting, and on-settroubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge ofindustry-standard software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, and AvidPro Tools. Knowledge of Davince Resolve a plus.
• Experience supportingcomputer lab environments, including Windows/macOS.
• Knowledge of or abilityto learn a large 500+ item equipment inventory tracking system andcheck-out procedures.
• Ability to provide excellent service and technicalsupport to students, faculty, and staff in a fast-paced academicproduction environment.
• Familiarity withemerging media production technologies such as virtual production, motioncapture, game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine), or real-time content creationworkflows a plus.
