Job summary

TMD Staffing in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Component Rework / Touch-Up Operator (SMT) for a full-time, on-site role. Pay is $18.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic rework or soldering, the ability to read BOMs and blueprints, and a strong attention to detail. Independence and teamwork are both valued in this position.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic rework, soldering, or repair preferred.
• Ability to read BOMs, assembly drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Good manual dexterity with small components.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform rework and repair of electronic assemblies to meet customer and quality standards.
• Remove, replace, and repair electronic components, solder joints, traces, pads, and solder mask defects.
• Operate rework and repair equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect products to verify compliance with specifications and workmanship standards.
• Complete required quality and production documentation accurately.
• Support production and quality departments as needed.
• Assist with training and continuous improvement initiatives when assigned.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

• Must pass all pre-employment requirements, including a Background Check and Drug Screen.
• Previous experience with electronic rework, soldering, or repair preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, assembly drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects and non-conforming products.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
• Experience using soldering equipment, hot air rework stations, magnification devices, and testing equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
