Job summary

BC Tech Pro is seeking a Computer Field Technician for laptop and desktop hardware repairs and warranty service work. Training will include Dell and Lenovo certifications, provided at onboarding.

You will operate on a 1099 contract basis, handling 2–5 calls per day, paid per ticket. Reliable transport and a home internet connection are required to access the portal and log tickets.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
• Dell and Lenovo certifications will be provided during onboarding.
• Ticket-based work with portal logging and daily scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware repairs and installations on laptops and desktops.
• Handle Dell and Lenovo warranty service part replacements.
• Log into the technician portal by 9 am daily and map upcoming calls.
• Coordinate onsite visit windows with customers.
• Parts are provided by manufacturers; return removed parts with shipping labels.

As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you.

Job Details

• This is a1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35per ticket.


• You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.


• Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets.


• You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls.


• You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.


• Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls.


• You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service.


• Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.
