Job Description: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Performs diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department utilizing specific equipment. Rotates through diagnostic radiology as assigned and performs all responsibilities outlined in the CT Tech job description. Involved in radiation and general safety practices at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations:

• Certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB.
• Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners, or applicable state where services will be performed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Computed Tomography certification through ARRT or NMTCB within 2 years of hire.
• One (1) year of computed tomography experience.

For Pennsylvania locations:

• Graduate from AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification in Radiography with ARRT or NMTCB.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Computed Tomography certification through ARRT or NMTCB within 2 years of hire.
• One (1) year of computed tomography experience.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Includes preparing exam rooms, performing imaging procedures, patient care, safety practices, and equipment maintenance. Also involves documentation, patient interaction, and potentially performing IV insertions or administering contrast media as per protocol.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Requires frequent physical activity, lifting, and exposure to various environmental hazards, with accommodations available as needed.
