Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a mid-level computational research support specialist to assist students, clinicians, and researchers with CHPC infrastructure.

You will help configure computing environments, submit and monitor jobs, manage research data, and troubleshoot workflows. Responsibilities include supporting radiology studies with Jupyter notebooks and Python environments, offering guidance on PyTorch/TensorFlow, and assisting with DICOM workflows in a cutting-edge AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Experience in operations analysis, design, or related field for computational research support.
• Familiarity with Linux, Python, Jupyter, and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).

Responsibilities

• Communicate features to prospective and existing users.
• Provide regular in-person training sessions on CHPC usage and Linux fundamentals.
• Assist students and researchers in configuring and running AI models for radiology studies on CHPC.
• Support Jupyter notebooks and Python environments, including debugging.
• Guide on using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and deep learning in medical imaging contexts.
• Collaborate on DICOM/image processing and segmentation tasks.
• Analyze customer issues and guide toward root cause resolution.
• Escalate complex issues as needed.
