Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an HPC Research Facilitator III to support researchers in leveraging advanced computing, data systems, and software across disciplines, with emphasis on human health.

The role combines direct user support with project development and research activities, often remotely. The position requires 4+ years in a high-performance computing environment, experience with virtualization tools (Docker, Singularity), version control, and modern software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• 4 years of experience in a High Performance Computing environment.
• Experience with deploying infrastructure, software development, and statistical software packages.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to researchers and students on complex data workflows and debugging performance issues.
• Supports researchers on operating systems, software installation/maintenance and hardware for research projects.
• Collaborates with engineers to identify data, hardware or software components and improves workflows.
• Performs security analyses to ensure data protection and develops project plans for timely technical support.
