Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a mid-level computational research support specialist to assist students, clinicians, and researchers with CHPC resources, environments, and job management.

You will help configure computational pipelines, monitor jobs, manage data, and troubleshoot workflows, including AI-enabled radiology research with PyTorch and TensorFlow. Collaboration on DICOM workflows is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT/Computing.
• 3 years in Operations Analysis and Design or Systems Programming or closely related field.
• Experience with Linux, Python, and AI toolchains preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate features to prospective and existing users.
• Provide regular in-person training on CHPC, Linux, data transfer on HPC.
• Assist students and researchers in configuring and running AI models for radiology on CHPC.
• Support and debug Jupyter notebooks and Python on RCIF CHPC infrastructure.
• Guide on using PyTorch, TensorFlow in medical imaging contexts.
• Collaborate on DICOM/image processing tasks as needed.
• Gather customer information and diagnose root causes of issues.
• Escalate complex problems to higher level when necessary.
