Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in natural gas compression operations, plus experience using maintenance databases, SAP, and Caterpillar natural gas compressor drivers.

Responsibilities

• Starts, stops, and operates compressor units and auxiliary systems; adjusts within limits to maintain flow and pressure.
• Performs routine checks on engines, compressors, separators, coolers, and dehydration equipment; documents results.
• Replaces basic components (filters, gaskets) and replenishes fluids following standard procedures.
• Uses SCADA systems to verify operating status and enter notes as directed.
• Collects gas samples or moisture readings and logs per procedure.
• Responds to routine alarms by executing predefined steps and notifying senior staff.
• Assists with planned maintenance windows and equipment preparations.
• Maintains tidy tool and parts areas and updates inventory counts.
• Participates in safe installation of instrumentation and electrical components; troubleshoots control systems and equipment.
• Maintains and troubleshoots DCS and PLCs to maximize control tech use and minimize costs; supports monitoring devices.
• Performs preventive and general maintenance on electronic/pneumatic equipment and plans upcoming tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
