Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Senior Compression Technician to provide advanced support and maintenance for natural gas compression, transmission, distribution, storage, and related SCADA systems. The role requires expertise in instrumentation, control systems, and safety compliance at multiple Michigan locations.

The ideal candidate will have PLC/DCS ladder logic experience, HMI graphics programming, and knowledge of SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience with gas compression, metering, regulation, distribution, transmission, and storage fields.
• Familiarity with national electrical code and safety in hazardous environments.
• PLC/DCS ladder logic programming and HMI graphics programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level support for SCADA and field systems across multiple locations.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex gas processes and control systems.
• Lead project teams, review drawings, and document design decisions and system checkout.
