Job summary

TC Energy in Oregon is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician (Controls) to support the operation and maintenance of compressor stations and pipeline facilities. You will apply strong electrical, electronic, instrumentation and control skills to troubleshoot and improve systems while working with minimal supervision.

The role involves installing, testing, and repairing controls and instrumentation, entering work orders in SAP, and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a two-year college electrical degree or equivalent electrical experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or controls.
• Relevant oil and gas experience or industrial experience in a plant environment.
• Competency in rigging, interpreting technical reference documents, and the use of precision measuring tools.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Pass pre-employment medical screening, including drug/alcohol testing.
• Must carry a cell phone and work a rotating on-call schedule.
• Willingness to work extended days/weeks for emergencies and travel to other locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, repair, and maintenance on compressor station equipment and related facilities.
• Maintain gas turbine packages, gas compressors, and related auxiliary equipment.
• Service mechanical measurement or control equipment such as meters, regulators, and valves.
• Manage power/electrical process controls, PLCs, electric generation, and related systems.
• Administrative, clerical, and warehousing activities; enter data in SAP.
• Complete work orders and support on-call requirements.
