Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join our team in a role that supports compounding medication in a clean room environment. Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, you will perform prep and dispensing tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to state regulations.

The position emphasizes hands-on compounding at least 50% of the time, accurate calculations, labeling, and documentation, with opportunities for growth within a nationwide home infusion leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies & procedures, and in accordance with state regulations & standards.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dosages of medications.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication related incidents.
