Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Compounding Technician I to support licensed pharmacists in a clean room, performing compounding operations and medication preparation at least 50% of the time.

You will help ensure safe, accurate preparation and labeling of medications while adhering to policies and state regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with dispensing, maintaining logs, and contributing to incident reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies per policies and state regulations.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
• Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
