Job summary

Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, the compounding technician I works in a clean room compounding medication at least 50% of the time to help ensure safe, accurate, and smooth compounding operations.

The role involves prescription compounding, preparation and processing, site and supplies/equipment maintenance, and adherence to company policies and state regulations. A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Label and package medications accurately.
• Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
