Job summary

HEXPOL Compounding Americas in Ohio is seeking an operator to perform compounding, weighing and mixing of materials, ensuring safe operation of equipment and proper product flow through the process.

The role requires attention to detail, color-difference inspection, basic math, and ability to lift up to 55 pounds. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to meet production targets while maintaining safety standards and clean workspaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; competency assessment may substitute
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to perform basic math (add/sub/mul/div)
• Ability to read a tape measure and use MS Office
• Must lift up to 55 pounds regularly
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication
• Ability to read and perceive color differences in products
• Strong cooperation, organization and deadline focus

Responsibilities

• Check raw materials for contamination, weigh and mix as directed
• Inspect scales and operate equipment per procedures
• Ensure consistent mixing and report deviations to supervisor
• Load materials into mixer and follow scheduling/work instructions
• Maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination between batches
• Ensure safe operation and PPE usage; follow lock-out/tag-out rules
• Train new Associates as directed
• Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Management
