Milk Visual Effects Limited in California is seeking talented Compositors at all levels to join our team and bring high-end visual effects to life, blending CG elements with live-action footage to create photoreal imagery.

From junior artists to senior veterans, you will use Nuke and collaborate with a cross-disciplinary crew to deliver shots on tight schedules and contribute creative input.

Formación

• Proven industry experience as a Compositor on high-end film, episodic or commercial projects.
• Strong proficiency in Nuke and comp-specific techniques.
• Understanding of 3D software (e.g., Maya, Houdini) and integration of 3D elements into comp work.

Responsabilidades

• Create high-quality compositing integrating CG elements, live-action footage and VFX to meet shot requirements.
• Apply color correction, tracking, keying, roto, paint, matte work and multi-pass compositing.
• Use Nuke to deliver shots aligned with project direction and deadlines.
• Own assigned shots and troubleshoot technical or creative challenges.
• Collaborate with 2D/FX Supervisors and team to refine shots and maintain consistency.

The Role:

We are looking for talented California-based junior, mid and senior Compositors to join our team and help bring high-end visual effects to life. In this role you will be the final creative touchpoint, working alongside a talented crew to seamlessly integrate complex CG elements and live-action footage into compelling and photoreal imagery.

Whether you are a junior artist keen to work on exciting projects, an established mid-level artist ready to tackle challenging sequences, or a seasoned senior looking for a new creative opportunity, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality compositing work that integrates CG elements, live-action footage and visual effects to achieve the artistic and technical requirements of each shot.
• Use compositing techniques such as colour correction, tracking, keying, roto, paint, matte work and multi-pass compositing, with support and guidance available where required.
• Use Nuke to create and deliver shots in line with project requirements and artistic direction.
• Take ownership of assigned shots appropriate to your level of experience, identifying and resolving technical or creative challenges.
• Work collaboratively with the 2D Supervisor, VFX Supervisor and other team members to develop and refine shots.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including lighting, modelling, and texturing, to ensure cohesive integration of assets and achieve consistent visual aesthetics.
• Provide creative input and innovative ideas to elevate the quality of shots, sequences, and visual effects as a whole.
• Participate in reviews and feedback sessions, iterating on shots to meet artistic and technical standards while adhering to project deadlines.
• Maintain organised file structures and adhere to naming conventions, ensuring efficient data management and streamlined collaboration within the team.

Requirements:

• Proven industry experience as Compositor working on high-end film, episodic or commercial projects.
• Extensive proficiency in Nuke.
• An understanding of 3D software (e.g., Maya, Houdini) and experience integrating complex 3D elements into compositing.
• Demonstrated experience of advanced compositing techniques, including green screen keying, motion tracking, and intricate matte painting.
• Exceptional eye for detail, colour, lighting, and composition, showcasing a consistent history of delivering top-tier visual results.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
• A degree in Animation, VFX, Computer Graphics, or a related field is a bonus, but your reel and industry experience are essentials.
